Dohn Construction Breaks Ground on Large Addition to Senior Living Community

Local construction firm selected for the fifth time by senior housing organizationFort Collins, CO, 2/2/17: Dohn Construction has begun the construction at The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society to complete a 4,300 square foot addition to the Good Samaritan Water Valley building in Windsor, CO. The addition will include a chapel and expansion of the building’s current dining hall, as the needs of the Good Samaritan Water Valley community have outgrown the space they are currently using as a chapel.  Through the efforts of the community’s residents and staff, their idea for a new chapel is becoming a reality.Dohn Construction Project Manager Rick Newman explains, “This will be a beautiful addition to their building, and it is well integrated into the current design.  I am as thrilled as anyone to be a part of this project.” Dohn Construction Field Superintendent Nick Willman is also excited to manage the field operations of another Good Samaritan Water Valley project. He explains, “From start to finish, this project is a team effort between Dohn, the Living Resort’s residents and the administration. I’m excited to have their input as we build their vision.”Dohn Construction completed the new construction of the Good Samaritan Society Water Valley Senior Living Resort in 2008, as well as various additions and renovations to Good Samaritan Society communities in the area. Dohn Construction is currently working on the new construction of the Good Samaritan Villas Luxury Twinhome Community in Windsor, CO and a 20,000 square foot renovation of the Loveland Good Samaritan Village in Loveland, CO.
